I always was a gamer. I played games since I was a little kid of 6 years old. It was on the 486 system. The time with the big 5" black flexible floppy disks. Some of you didn't even worked with those disks. On the Windows 3.11 OS. With a stunning 15 Mb hard disk.
Man those were times. Starting the computer in MSDos and games my mother wrote out of a book she bought. Very simple, but I enjoyed it big time!!! Running a small virtual store making your own prices, sell it and making profit. I currently have a big smile on my face while typing this.
When Windows 95 was released, my world opened. Much better and cooler games came along. To sum them up a bit, Commander Keen (all versions), Captain Comic, Cosmo, Transport Tycoon, Duke Nukem, Wolfenstein 3d, Doom. These game were big fun.
Offcourse I wasn't allowed to play all of these. They were too brutal for my little eyes. When my father saw me playing Wolfenstein 3d first time he nearly had a heart attack.After the years more and more games came along. Mostly I loved the FPS genre. I think many of you drooled like my when they played Unreal for the first time. Man those graphics were stunning for that time. Also the brutality I loved.
The scene you heard a monster rip apart a human and you hear him screaming and you really wanna see what that monster is doing but you can;t see because the door won't open. When the door is finally open you see a body with blood on the wall.
Every time I tried to look under the door but coulnd't see a sh*t.
There are more games I wanna talk about, but I will do that next time.
I really like to talk about the old gaming times.
The games now aren't so much fun like in the old times.
I remember when i played Age of Empires for the 1st time, i really kept on playing hours and hours. Really happy that there are people who like to play old games!!

Yeah I love the old games... Like Cosmo. I dont replay them anymore. A year or two ago I tried Commander Keen again, but it isn't fun as it used to be...

Haha. Nostalgic memories is always nice :) bit sad though, that you can't go back sometimes. I got my first computer when I was about 13-14 so basically my first game was Warcraft 2. Not too oldschool. But I aswell remember the excitement, which I still get about games that I like these days :) (luckily, or I wouldn't be playing logically:)
