I've gone to look for myself, If I should return before I get back keep me here.
This topic has always hit home for me, as a crafter in every MMO I have played i often get accused of charging too much for items on the AH. I most stuff I make I sell 1 or 2 a day and restock accordingly. I do not try to mass produce things as I would rather be doing other stuff with my time.
I guess the issue is if people are willing to pay the price is it really gouging? Or are the people that complain I charge too much just a bunch of cheap people that want things given to them.
I know what I feel items are worth, and if I see them priced for less and have the gold on me I will usually buy them and relist them. Or if they are mats I use I buy them when they are cheap to help make items and increase my profits later. If at all possible I am goign to keep prices high on everything just to make my prices on stuff I am selling look better.
Comments (13)So here I am not even a month after I created my profile and still a few months out on the release of the game. I have spent endless hours reading posts that have been created over the last few years along with just about every interview, screenshot, and video I can find on the internet.
Normally I do not post on official forums as I prefer to keep my comments to those I know and to guilds I am in. However Alganonis already different, I have made more posts on teh offical forums in 3 weeks than I have in the last4 or 5 years in all the other games I have played combined. So far the community has been great and the fact that the Alganon developers not only ask questions of the player base but they answer questions through the roundtable as well is more than I have seen in the past.
I hope this interaction continues after launch, I can forgive a less than perfect game if the developers actually seem interested in what the playerbase has to say. i can forgive bugs in the game if I kn Comments (2)
While I have had max Level characters in EQ2, AOC, and WOW, along with a lvl 27 in Warhammer, the sticking point on wether or not I stay with a game has always been how much love the crafters are shown. When I first started in EQ2 I remember grinding out tempers as just one of the items I needed to craft in order to make a set of armor. All the subcombines took time but I planned and endured. I spent money on rare crafting items to find I had discovered a crude blackened iron Helm when I was going for pristine.( Oh how I hated those grats's from my guild mates). However once I had that complete set I wore that armor with pride, knowing I had made it myself and spent the hour or 2 harvesting and collecting all the mats that were needed. As I progressed and got higher in level it was only then that I realized higher level crafters were rare, no one wanted to put forth the effort to level. Work was there and even if I bought all the mats off the auction house I could still turn a profit because with a little
