Why would the captain of the Defiance bring these Kujix idols on board his ship? You must find his logs, they will explain what happened.

The logs should be somewhere in the wreckage of the ship.

Completion

Did you read these logs? It says they found a Talrok woman, shipwrecked on an island. She begged them for mercy, and offered them these treasures if they let her live. That doesn't sound like the Talrok at all. I'll bet this was all a setup. I'll bet this was a Kujix plot to get a foothold in Ardonya.
